This cottage is unique because of its location between Meribel and Meribel-Mottaret, at the foot of the trout track. It is a magical atmosphere that awaits you in the middle of the mountains. If you love calm and nature you will be filled! This quiet location makes you not in the immediate vicinity of shops and snow tires are required to access the cottage (this may seem obvious, but we would rather remind you: you come to ski, we are in the mountains and there is snow!). The owners, Bénédicte and her husband live there year-round. During the winter when the cottage (the upper part) is rented, they live in an apartment on the ground floor. They are available to welcome you and advise you! He is a tracker in Meribel, and she is Bergère (don't hesitate to buy lamb, cheese and other exceptional local products!)
La Rosière, between Meribel and Mottaret is a small isolated and quiet village. It is an exclusively residential area, there is no trade.
You can walk, drive, shuttle or ski!
*On foot, it takes 10 to 20 minutes to reach Meribel Centre according to your pace.
*By car, access requires snow tires or chains. The last 20 meters are pretty steep. You can park along the main road (you must then walk a hundred meters). At the level of the sheepfold (at the foot of the 20-metre steep climb), there are about 50 meters left to walk. Or in front of the cottage if you have special facilities.
*The free shuttle from the station passes through the Rosière. She takes you either to Meribel Centre or Mottaret. The bus stop is on the upper part of the hamlet. It takes 5 minutes of climbing to reach. On the way back, it'll be downhill to get to the cottage!
*In skis, access is from Mottaret. You have to take the pedestrian path and it needs to be comfortable on skis (not recommended for beginners). From the chalet, you take the pedestrian path for about 200m before reaching the trail of the Truite (again, not recommended to beginners).

Free shuttle stop is a 5-minute walk away which takes you directly to the centre station. The bus stop is on the upper part of the Rosière. Allow to walk 5 minutes uphill to access it. On the way back, it'll be downhill!
